Just crushed 10NL last 1k hands

I came back from the gym feeling refreshed and ready to crush some 10NL 9-max. Things started off good until I realized this extremely spewy fish was in every hand and calling rediculous raises. I was up about $5 at this point from QQ>AK.

I called a small stacks all in with 66 and flopped a very low, dry board. I had a feeling I was crushing the small stacks AQ, AK, etc. Spewy keeps betting and finally shows 510 trip 5s. WTF...

I am determined to stack this fool as he's now got about $24, still playing every hand. I wake up to KK in middle position and let out for .50. He snap calls and the flop comes 555. I call down and probably lose the minium here of about 5 dollars when he shows K5. Wow. I quit.

I'm pretty tilted now. I'm down almost 50-60 bucks from last night and Monday is one of my two grinding days. Luckily I decide to keep pushing threw the variance and play some .05/.10 with maybe 70BBs.

I'm doing pretty good until I call a pre-flop raise with 2 others in and flop 944 with my 99. I Beat out AA and a flush draw winning the $25 pot. Biggest won in 2010, and also my chart is finally fixed :p

Bring On The 1 Outers

Set over set turns into quads...small stack though..meh.

-$2.25

need to head over the gym and sweat some alcohols. more to come.

Ready to Log Some Serious Hours

I've had some serious swings since my last update. I've been playing super agressive in cash and sadly tilted off a big loss in one session and tried to make a hero bluff in .05/.10 6-max game...guy almost folded top pair after clocking down. I've been winning a few 4-man HU Sngs to get some of my roll back.

Cleared a Poker Stars F40 bonus good for $40 and won a couple 4-mans last night, gettting up to $116 from my original 50 deposit. This has been my only deposit for 2010.

I was going to gamble and play the 51 hyper turno HU tourney at 1am last night after getting soemone to buy part of my action. I decided not to gamble and chop some 4-mans with him. Unforunately we lost 3 in a row after I lost 3 2-outers in the first round!! Wow.

I'm back to grinding .02/.05 ( playing 100bbs. not 80 ) and started the day up 2BIs.

Current BR = $82.01

.02/.05

After logging quite a few hands in .01/.02 I thought would take a shot at .02/.05. My original plan was to start playing this level with $55-$65, but I managed to talk myself into playing 12 tables with 80BBs. Shortly after I 4 bet QQ only to see a K flop OOP. Villian bet's .25 and I decide to call just to see if a Q comes or his betting gives me a tell. Sure enough a Q comes and I decide to min raise his .50 bet. We get it all in on the river and he shows KQ.

I later came over the top with AA against a 4-bet by QQ. I'm almost thinking my shorter stack sized helped me here since raiser called. I had to sweat this one as 3 diamonds hit the board by the turn and he needed 1 more for the suck out.

Only big losing hand was when I 4-bet a .20 raise with KK in position. Villian checks A66 flop and the turn comes another A. I decide to check call all the way down to the river and lose the minimum here as he shows AK.

I end the 40 minute session +$5.98.

First 10,000 Hands

I've almost reached my first 10k hands and I'm very happy with the results. As you can see I managed to pull out of a downswing by playing less agro and more cautious. I've also managed to go from playing 14 tables to 24 tables, as well as reverting back to 9-max. The last 5k hands have been pretty solid. I've trapped a few times with sets/boats, and only managed to run my KK into AA one time aipf.

More Sets , Less Variance

+$11.47
Today I was forunuate that a lot of people were trying to bluff me off the nuts. I also started playing JJ,QQ,AK a bit softer. AK is a hand that I play very differently at this level because so many make donk calls with Ax and flop two pair. I find it more profitable to check it down a bit instead of getting commited in a big pot on the flop.
I also take my money off the table as soon as I double up and spread it on two tables. I feel the more hands I see per hour, the more pairs i can mine for sets. I almost made a horrible fold when I had 222 and filled up on the river. I was so distracted by the 4 clubs and my 19 other tables i almost folded...realized i filled up and then shiped only to be called by a 3 high flush..lol

Looking Better

I really wanted to put in 10k hands last night but I was getting really tired and the caffeine was not doing anything for me except making my arm and neck stiff. I woke up this morning and decided to launch some 9-max and watch some poker videos online while I play a slower more relaxed 14 table game. I typically play my tables stacked on top of each other in the 4 corners of my screen. I really enjoy keeping the tables their original size because I rarely make any errors reading bets or spotting short stacks vs max buy in grinders. I used to tile 16 tables using table ninja, but i've found this requires more effort. I don't use table ninja anymore, and honestly find it a waste of money once you develop your own comfort setup.

Very nice 130 minute sesh. I'm playing mostly against european players since it's morning eastern US time. Decided to end my sesh after flopping broadway with AK. Villian tried to bluff raise me on the flop and i decided to just flat and try to get it in on the turn. The turn comes a blank and Villian bet's and I min raise. He shoves with total air 53h and I scoop up a nice $5.50 pot.

Very nice graph this morning. Just need to make sure I don't call anymore sets with overs...
